A joint investigation from the Orange and Chatham County Sheriff’s Offices has led to the arrest of a suspected cocaine distributor.

Authorities say the investigation was carried out during the month of October leading to search warrants being executed last Tuesday at residences in Orange and Chatham counties. A search of a home on Pine Acres Road in Chapel Hill led to the seizure of approximately 120 grams of crack cocaine, 82 grams of powder cocaine, 668 grams of marijuana, 20 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and two handguns.

Authorities say one of the two handguns had “an extended capacity magazine.”

Three individuals were arrested during the raid, including the target of the investigation 34-year-old Tyler Tequintine Jackson. Jackson was taken into custody and held on a $250,000 secured bond while facing two counts of trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officials say 38-year-old Robert Antonio Craig was also arrested during the investigation and is being held under a $25,000 secured bond. Craig has been charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule I controlled substance and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.

The third suspect arrested was 37-year-old Travis Kortnee Banks, who has been charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Banks is being held under a $5,000 secured bond at last update.

Authorities say the search warrant executed in Pittsboro as a result of the investigation into Jackson found evidence in the home “related to the manufacturing of ‘crack’ cocaine.”

The Chatham County residence was unoccupied at the time the search warrant was executed, according to officials.
