The second suspect in a four-year-old Orange County murder case entered a guilty plea earlier this week.

Local District Attorney Jim Woodall said 26-year-old Ladell Alverez Faucette entered a guilty plea in a Hillsborough Courtroom on Monday as part of a plea arrangement. Faucette was sentenced to between 30 and 38 years on two counts of second-degree murder and three counts of armed robbery, according to Woodall.

Faucette testified against the second suspect in the case, Curtis White, according to Woodall. White was sentenced to 48-63 years in prison earlier this year, according to the News & Observer.

Both suspects were charged following the 2012 shooting deaths of 68-year-old Skip Wade and 52-year-old Phillip Johnson.

During White’s sentencing, Woodall recounted events leading up to the shootings, which took place at a thrift store north of Hillsborough. Woodall said that the two suspects came back to the scene after initially fleeing following the shootings. Both were taken into custody and gave varying accounts of the incident.

Faucette will get credit for the approximately four years he has served in prison being held on the charges.
