CHAPEL HILL- Hillsborough Police arrested two men on Tuesday and charged them with breaking into a local restaurant.
It was just after 4 a.m. when police responded to an alarm at Pueblo Viejo Mexican Family Restaurant located just off of Old N.C. 86. Upon arrival, officers spotted two men running from the building.
Cedric Maurice Dorsey of Durham was arrested immediately. Brian Joshua Baker of Hillsborough was taken into custody following a short chase. Both were charged with breaking and entering, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest.
Officers also linked Baker to a January break-in at the Hot Tin Roof bar on West Margaret Lane, and are looking into a string of other commercial burglaries dating back to December.
Anna-Maria’s Pizzeria, Boone Barber Shop and Kelsey’s Bistro have each been targeted recently by thieves. If you have information about any of these break-ins, contact Detective Scott Bilsky at 919-732-9381, ext 37. You can also submit a tip anonymously through the Town of Hillsborough’s website.
