Two Orange County men have been arrested on cocaine trafficking charges.

Authorities said that a narcotics investigation was conducted on Thursday, March 29, on Ford Road in southwestern Orange County leading to the arrests of 38-year-old Joe Wesley Baldwin Jr and 34-year-old Sharod Chico Baldwin.

Deputies seized over 40 grams of cocaine during the investigation, according to a release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Sharod Baldwin is facing four counts of trafficking cocaine and is being held under a $100,000 secured bond. Joe Baldwin Jr has been charged with conspiring to traffic cocaine and held under an $88,000 secured bond.

Both suspects had previous drug-related offenses, according to law enforcement. Sharod Baldwin has cocaine trafficking charges pending from a 2017 Orange County Sheriff’s Office investigation. Joe Baldwin Jr, meanwhile, is on federal probation for drug-related charges.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in Orange County Court on Monday afternoon.
