Authorities arrested a suspect on Wednesday in connection with a September armed robbery in Orange County.

Members of the US Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force took 21-year-old Daquan Jermaine Cropps into custody just after one o’clock Wednesday afternoon at an apartment in Durham, according to information released Thursday afternoon.

Cropps is accused of pointing a gun at the face of a victim during an armed robbery in Mebane on September 21. Cropps and two other individuals allegedly robbed a victim at gunpoint, but Cropps is accused of hitting the victim with the gun until they surrendered their personal belongings – which had a value of $150, according to law enforcement officials.

Cropps has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Authorities say Cropps also had an outstanding warrant from the State of North Carolina for post release violation.

Cropps is being held in the Orange County Jail.
