Carrboro Police have arrested an individual in connection with a shooting at a gas station last month.

Carrboro Police Captain Chris Atack said that 30-year-old Jeremy Lowe Dixon was arrested on Friday, April 13, and charged in connection with the incident, but it is not believed that Dixon is the alleged shooter.

Atack described Dixon as an “active participant in a pre-arranged drug deal.” The victim was shot multiple times in the parking lot of a gas station on West Main Street just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, according to police records.

Dixon has been charged with manufacture, sell or possessing a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, obstruction of justice and conspiring to sell or deliver a schedule VI controlled substance – all of which are felonies.

Atack said that the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.
