A man charged with multiple felonies in connection with a 2005 incident in Durham has been arrested in Hillsborough.

Officials with the United States Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force arrested 41-year-old Marco Antwan Parker Wednesday morning at an apartment on Orange Grove Road in Hillsborough.

Durham Police charged Parker with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary, first-degree sexual offense and attempted first-degree sexual offense after an incident in February 2005.

Parker also had outstanding warrants from Chapel Hill Police for failure to appear and second-degree sexual offense, according to law enforcement.

Parker had been eluding arrest since July 2016, according to a release. Durham Police charged him with the 2005 offenses in October 2016.

Members of the Joint Fugitive Task Force confirmed Parker was residing on Orange Grove Road and arrested him without incident.

Parker is being held in the Durham County Jail under a $1.675 million secured bond.
