On Friday, U.S. Marshals arrested a man in Durham in conjunction with a shooting that took place in Hillsborough last October.

The arrest took place at 9:25 a.m. 19-year-old Chris Emmanuel Wiggins was arrested near the intersection of 15/501 and Route 751. He was wanted by Orange and Durham police in connection with a series of incidents: a robbery that occurred in Durham on September 30, a stolen vehicle on January 19 – and in Hillsborough, a shooting that occurred on October 11 at the Gateway Apartments, reportedly over a drug-related dispute. (The victim in that incident was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.)

Wiggins has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, fleeing to elude arrest, and unauthorized possession of a concealed handgun.
