Hillsborough police are asking for help from the public as authorities are investigating an armed robbery last week.

Law enforcement officials say a man armed with a firearm entered the JJ Mart on Cornelius Street in northern Hillsborough around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 1. The suspect allegedly demanded money from the clerk and received an undisclosed amount of money.

Police describe the suspect as “having light skin and wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.” Authorities are continuing to investigate the robbery by conducting interviews and analyzing surveillance footage.
