ORANGE COUNTY – A former private camp director in Orange County was arrested Wednesday on federal charges of child pornography.

Bruce Howard Aycock was charged with Receiving Child Pornography and Distribution of Child Pornography, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigator Chan McDade conducted a two month investigation which led to Aycock’s arrest after a cybertip was provided from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Aycock was still employed as a camp director in Orange County when authorities searched his home. WRAL reported that the camp is  New Hope Camp & Conference Center.

Ayock was a staff member at the camp for five years prior to the service of the search warrant. He is no longer employed at the camp.

The OC Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is still ongoing.
