Durham Police are looking for a suspect after a stolen vehicle struck a police cruiser.
Police say the hit-and-run occurred shortly after 5:30 Thursday evening near Eastwood Drive.
The driver of a stolen vehicle failed to stop for an officer and then struck another Durham Police car, which was occupied by a DPD officer, according to authorities.
Officials say the driver then fled the scene on foot.
A passenger in the stolen vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to law enforcement. Police say the officer was not injured.
Police describe the driver who fled the scene as a black male with a slim build, approximately 5’ 9” tall. He was wearing dark clothing and appeared to be in his late 20s.
