DURHAM- Nearly a year has passed since the slaying of UNC student Faith Hedgepeth, but we still don’t know the details of her death.

On Friday Judge Orlando Hudson once again signed an order to reseal the documents in the case. That order stands for 60 days, at which time the Durham District Attorney’s Office could either release the information or request that the records be resealed.

The records have been sealed repeatedly since Hedgepeth’s body was found by her roommate in her off-campus apartment on September 7, 2012.

Investigators have released little information since then, but informed the public at the time that neither the campus nor community were in immediate danger.

In January, information regarding DNA evidence of the suspected killer, a timeline of the night of her death, and a suspect profile were released. The cause of death has not been revealed.
