Two Chatham County residents have been arrested on cocaine charges.

A tip came into the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office in September 2017 that narcotics were being sold out of a residence at 621 East 11th Street in Siler City.

Authorities obtained a search warrant on December 12 after an investigation. Law enforcement officials found crack cocaine, a handgun and $436 in cash during the search.

Officials said 71-year-old James Foxx and 50-year-old Rebecca Pinnix were arrested. Foxx has been charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pinnix was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Foxx is being held in custody under a $10,000 secured bond, while Pinnix was released under a written promise to appear in court.

Both are due in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on January 28.
