Chapel Hill Police are asking for information related to a hit-and-run that occurred early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to an area near the intersection of Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard and Weaver Dairy Road at 4:51 Wednesday morning to a report of a “person lying in the road,” according to police.

The victim told police a dark sedan struck her while she was attempting to cross Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The victim was transported to UNC Hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to a release.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Chapel Hill Police at (919) 968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
