Chapel Hill Police have officially confirmed the names of the two people who were found dead in a house on Deming Road last week Thursday.

Margaret Montgomery Gibson was 86 and Eric Dana Gibson was 53. The Herald-Sun reports that Eric Gibson was Margaret Gibson’s son.

The house at 442 Deming had been on the market for several months; a real estate agent discovered the bodies around 3:45 Thursday afternoon. The agent found Margaret and Eric Gibson on the floor of the master bathroom; she told a 911 operator she saw “blood everywhere.”

The investigation is ongoing, but officials say that there were “no visible signs of forced entry” and that the CHPD “continues to believe there is no threat to the community.”
