The case against two suspects in the Christmas Day shooting of one-year-old Maleah Williams has been continued.

Pierre Je Bron Moore, 23, and Ramone Jamarr Alston, 22, were scheduled to appear in Orange County Court on Thursday facing charges associated with the shooting death of Williams.

Williams was shot on Christmas Day while in the arms of her mother as other children played in the parking lot of their apartment complex at Trinity Court in Chapel Hill. Williams died three days later.

Moore and Alston’s case has been continued to a later date after the two were indicted on charges of first-degree murder in the case.

The pair is facing additional charges that were filed before Williams’ death. After the indictment, they are set to appear in Superior Court.

A third suspect, 22-year-old Shaquille Oneill Davis is also facing charges associated with the case, although he is only facing one count of attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Officials with the District Attorney’s Office maintain those charges could change as the investigation continues.

Davis is scheduled to appear back in court on February 1.
