Carrboro Woman Charged With Animal Cruelty Misdemeanor
CARRBORO – The woman who left a service dog in a car in Carrboro for approximately two hours which resulted in the dog’s death has been charged with one count of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
Forty-two year old Debra Cunningham of Carrboro left Worthy in a vehicle in the middle of the day on June 10. Cunningham is the program director for Eyes, Ears, Nose, and Paws (EENP) where Worthy was being trained to be a service dog.
Cunningham was served a criminal summons by the Carrboro Police Department on Monday. She will have to appear in court in Hillsborough August 8.Did you see something wrong in this story, or something missing? Let us know
