Burlington Police are investigating two incidents of shots being fired into an occupied dwelling early Tuesday.

Police say the first incident occurred just after midnight when officers responded to a residence on Windsor Street. Authorities say shots were fired into a residence occupied by one adult male and one adult female.

Shortly after one o’clock Tuesday morning, officer responded to a second call of shooting into a dwelling on Elmira Street.

No injuries were reported in either shooting.

A witness at the second shooting observed two black males running on Elmira Street toward Circus Foods after hearing gunshots but was unable to provide any further description, according to police.
