Caravela Coffee, a green coffee company based in Colombia, was named to the B Corp “Best For the World” list for the second straight year. Caravela’s North American office is on Rosemary St in Chapel Hill.
The Best For The World list is comprised of companies in the top 10 percent out of more than 1,800 Certified B Corporations. Caravela earned the 2nd highest score in the Community category and the 5th highest score in the Overall category for medium sized businesses (50 to 249 employees).

B Corp is a nonprofit organization that serves a global movement of people using business as a force for good.
In a statement, Caravela CEO Alejandro Cadena said, “We are honored to be part of the B-Corp community and to be recognized as a ‘Best for the World’ company because of our overall impact and community impact for the second consecutive year. This award is a testament of how high quality coffee can be a force for good for coffee producing families, our customers, our employees, the environment and the communities where we work.”
Caravela works directly with more than 6,000 coffee producing families in South America and Central America. The company was founded in 2000.
