Paperhand Puppet Intervention – a unique, inventive, you’ve-never-seen-anything-like-it puppet show for all ages – is getting ready to return to UNC’s Forest Theatre for its sixteenth annual pageant.

This year’s show is called “A Drop In The Bucket: The Big Dreams Of Tiny Things.” The show revolves around an “exploration and celebration of the small worlds all around us,” from tiny items to tiny spaces. It involves a cast of 20 puppeteers plus live music composed by violinist Jennifer Curtis.

Paperhand Puppet co-founder Donovan Zimmerman spoke with WCHL’s Aaron Keck about the show, the cast and crew, and the origins and history of Paperhand Puppet Intervention.

“A Drop In The Bucket” runs from August 7-September 7 at the Forest Theatre, with shows every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:00, Sunday matinees at 3:00 on August 23, August 30, and September 6, and a closing show on Labor Day evening.
