Holiday Fashion Trend Report

The holidays are the perfect time to be fabulous with a festive flair! Here are some inspirations for the host of holiday soirees bound to be on your calendar. Step out in style, whether it’s an office party, cocktail hour, black tie bash or wedding celebration!

Glam Rock – It’s time to put a little sparkle in your step. The Glam Rock trend features a welcome dose of ultra-girly glam incorporating metallics, sequins and lace – appropriate for work or play. Turn the rock star dial up to full blast by combining metallics and leather details; think sequin top with leather trim skirt. And you’ve got glam with a spritz of glitz! Keep it sophisticated yet sleek at the holiday office party.

emeraldgreenEmerald City – Set the tone for the season with this deep green hue. An emerald cocktail dress, statement emerald jewelry or an emerald jeweled clutch will dazzle the room at your holiday gathering.

Fur Fabulous – Let this cozy favorite embellish a dress, sweater or wrap. Or for that chilly night in winter wonderland, don the matriarchal coat passed down through the generations.

Leather Luxe – You’ve heard about this look before (possibly all fall from The Fashion Plate). But leather is everywhere! Holidays are the perfect time to show off your leather-accented sweater or leggings. For a more casual event, sport your leather moto jacket with some red skinny jeans. And remember, faux is fine and more affordable!

When you’re on the hunt for your holiday outfits, don’t forget you have options other than paying full price. Sales still abound. Area consignment shops like Refinements and My Secret Closet are currently stocked with seasonal wear. Renting a designer outfit online from Rent the Runway is another idea. Or create your own swap shop and borrow from a friend!

Here’s to the happiest of holidays and enjoying them in true style!
