William Thorpe Jr. is Tuesday’s Hometown Hero.
He works with an organization called UNC Walk For Health. They are promoting Dental Health Day, which will be March 12 in Chapel Hill-Carrboro.
UNC Walk for Health is partnering with Piedmont Health Services to offer a morning of free dental screenings for children 5-17 years old. The event will take place from 8:15am to 1:15pm on Saturday, March 12th at the Carrboro Community Health Center.

William Thorpe Jr. is a chip off the the old block. His father, Bill Thorpe, served the community for many years as a Chape Hill Town Council member.
