Nancy Holt is Monday’s Hometown Hero.

Recently, Preserve Rural Orange honored Nancy with a new award that will bear her name.  The Nancy Holt Award will recognize citizen activists committed to addressing toxic pollutants in the environment.

Holt has spent decades working on solutions to environmental pollution.  She has worked on environmental projects in North Carolina.  But, is also a valuable resource for people in Flint, Michigan and beyond.

From Preserve Rural Orange:

“Smart, outspoken and passionate, Nancy Holt never met a challenge she didn’t take on with gusto, and her encyclopedic command of remarkable facts and statistics makes her a force to be reckoned with.”
