Kevin Shields is Friday’s Hometown Hero.

Kevin represents the Triangle Disability Awareness Council.  He teaches others how to use technology and hosts his own radio station.  He does all of that as a blind man.

The Triangle Disability Awareness Council will celebrate the 26th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act on Saturday at the Chapel Hill Public Library.  The event will be 11 AM to 4 PM.  Get more details at TriangleDAC.org.

Ron Stutts discussed the Triangle Disability Awareness Council with Kevin on Thursday.

You can nominate your own Hometown Hero.  WCHL has honored local members of our community every day since 2002.
