Katy McClure is Wednesday’s Hometown Hero.

Katy worked as a coordinator at Paws4Ever for more than eight years.  She no longer works for the organization, but still volunteers her time to work with their dogs.  She is an advocate for the dogs.  We have seen Katy come by WCHL as a part of our Adopt a Pet series.

Paws4Ever has 70 active volunteers and is always looking for more.  It’s also a good time to learn about how to volunteer.

Paws4ever is a guaranteed-adoption animal shelter and sanctuary dedicated to improving the lives of cats and dogs through adoption, training and education.  When other adoption agencies in the area reach capacity, Paws4ever helps out.

You can find out more on paws4ever.org or by emailing adopt@paws4ever.org.

You can nominate your own Hometown Hero.  WCHL has honored local members of our community everyday since 2002.
