Jim Huegerich is Tuesday’s Hometown Hero.
Jim has worked for the Town of Chapel Hill since 1975. He has never driven to work in over 40 years. He bikes to and from work everyday and recently was honored with a “Golden Spoke Award” by Go Triangle.
When he started with the Town of Chapel Hill 41 years ago, he worked with the Crisis Unit established by former Mayor Howard Lee.
Over the past few years, he became the Town Ombudsman.
