Charlotte White is Friday’s Hometown Hero.

Charlotte and her husband founded SKJAJA.  According to their website, the SKJAJA Fund’s mission is to provide underprivileged children in Chapel Hill and Carrboro, North Carolina the opportunity to participate in social and educational enrichment activities such as, but not limited to: team sports or camps, art or dance classes, educational camps; school band/orchestra, etc.

SKJAJA is one to the local nonprofits who will be benefited by Saturday’s Color The Hill 4K and Fun Run.

Color The Hill is the wackiest time you can have on a cross country course.  Show up to the start line as a blank canvas and by the end of the run you will look like a Jackson Pollock painting.  Get more details on Color The Hill.

You can nominate your own Hometown Hero.  WCHL has honored local members of our community everyday since 2002.
