Bebe Smith is Wednesday’s Hometown Hero.

She works with the Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness.  The Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness is a coalition of housing and service providers, local government and the broader community working together to prevent and end homelessness in Orange County.

Bebe is a social work researcher in the UNC School of Social Work.  She also advocates for people with mental illness locally and statewide.

Smith chairs a Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness’ 100,00 Homes task force.

You can nominate your own Hometown Hero.  WCHL has honored local members of our community everyday since 2002.
