Barbara Silver is Wednesday’s Hometown Hero.
Barbara has been working in tobacco prevention and tobacco cessation for years.
She is now the program manager for the UNC Nicotine Dependence Program. The UNC Nicotine Dependence Program. What they do:
“The Nicotine Dependence (NDP) program provides leadership for implementing comprehensive tobacco use treatment services, education and training, and disseminating resources for promoting tobacco free communities.”
Tobacco Free Tar Heels is a free tobacco use treatment program for UNC Health Care employees and the Town of Chapel Hill.
