Daughn Gibson
Wednesday, August 14 @ Local 506
All Ages,  9:00PM. $8+

Critics are struggling trying to find an artist or genre to describe Gibson. His music reminds the listener of Quentin Tarantino films and smoky, 1970s jazz bars. Quite simply, he is a solo artist with rough influences but a smooth, modern delivery. For a taste of his unique sound, check out this video.

Valley Young
 Wednesday, August 14 @ The Station/Southern Rail
18+, 10:00PM. No cover.

Valley Young starts their tour in Greensboro, NC then comes to Carrboro the following night to bring their relaxed vibe and Blue Ridge acoustic sound to The Station. This group is reminiscent of Avett Brothers without heavy vocal harmonizing and stands out with skilled guitar chops over piano and bass. Wear your dancing shoes!
