Ready for blood, sweat and lyrics that hit you harder than brass knuckles? Prepare yourself. The Dirty Politicians plays the Chapel Hill Underground with Charlotte’s Antiseen this Saturday, February 8th. The pounding heartbeat of Chapel Hill’s punk rock scene, The Dirty Politicians features Adam Spell (vocals), Aaron Spell (drums), Josh Macri (guitar), TJ Lout (guitar) and Ash Lopez (bass).

TDP1The recently reunited crew is looking forward to bringing it back to where it began with their Chapel Hill roots that reach all the way back to 1997. While some members have changed since then, the Spell brothers and Macri are original members. Lout and Lopez recently joined when the band reunited in September 2013 and both were members of Bad Idea, a band formed during The Dirty Politicians’ break.

Saturday’s show will be The Dirty Politicians’ fourth since reuniting. Old favorites as well as new songs are on the set list. As always, a solid fan base will be in tow. The band also invites veteran punk rockers to make it out to reminisce and get their fix.

Never been to a show? The melodic street rock may surprise you. Spell’s diverse vocal tones are driven by Lopez’s complex bass lines, leaving no room for disappointment. Get a preview at ReverbNation, where the band ranks #2 on the Chapel Hill punk rock charts.
