CHAPEL HILL– Yes, Orange’s mighty 41-21 victory over the Chargers of Northwood High School garnered most of the attention Friday night, but there was other notable action going on in the surrounding vicinity.

In a game exclusively covered on Chapelboro.com, Cedar Ridge’s quest for its first victory of the season fell short to the top-ranked 3A squad in the state, Cardinal Gibbons. The score line of 56-28 was predictable.

Coach Sherman’s East Chapel Hill team didn’t fare well on the road at Ragsdale. The mistakes keep piling up for them. This time, they went down 28-7.

But not all of our local teams came out on the short end of the scoreboard. Coach Isaac Marsh has begun to turn things around following a 0-3 start at Chapel Hill. And that trend continued Friday night as his Tigers pulled of a 38-31 win at Webb.
