The North Carolina – South Carolina matchup scheduled for Tuesday night has been postponed due to heavy rain in the forecast.

The game, matching the nation’s No. 15 and No. 8 teams, is the first in a two-year series scheduled to be played at the home of the Charlotte Knights, the AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.

The game time has been rescheduled for 7:05 Wednesday night. UNC says that tickets that have been sold for Tuesday will be valid on Wednesday.

The game is expected to draw a large crowd to the stadium that holds just over 10,000 fans.

Officials say limited standing room only tickets are still available.
