The North Carolina Tar Heels moved up to number 17 in the College Football Playoff Rankings released on Tuesday night.
The Tar Heels have won nine straight games after the season-opening loss to South Carolina.
UNC was ranked 23rd in last week’s rankings and Carolina moved up to number 12 in the latest AP Poll.
Carolina faces off with Virginia Tech on Saturday in Frank Beamer’s final home game leading the Hokie program.
