Thursday marks one year since the UNC-commissioned Wainstein Report was released.
In the 365 days since, both the NCAA and the university’s accrediting body, SACS, have launched new investigations into the long-running academic-athletic scandal involving paper classes and multiple lawsuits have used the document as a foundation to sue the university.
Doctor Charlie Tuggle is the Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies in the UNC School of Media and Journalism and host of ‘Sports Focus’ that airs on WCHL on Saturdays and Sundays. Tuggle spoke with WCHL’s Blake Hodge to reflect on the Wainstein Reports first birthday.
