A man was arrested at 200 Thomas Burke Drive in Hillsborough on Thursday in connection with a heroin distribution investigation.

Michael Tyrone Carter, 30, was arrested and charged with trafficking heroin, maintaining a dwelling to distribute controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was served at the address where officers found “a trafficking quantity of heroin”, cash and ammunition.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Durham County Sheriff’s Office and the Hillsborough Police Department all participated in the operation.
A heroin distribution investigation from Durham led investigators to the Hillsborough apartment, which according to press release is where Carter’s girlfriend lives. Carter’s last known address is in Durham.
Carter is being in the Durham County Detention Center under a $2 million bond.
