Police say that “in nearly all of the break-ins, the vehicles were left unlocked.”

Authorities say that valuable items should be removed from vehicles, even when they are locked, including tablets, laptops, firearms and wallets.

Officials are encouraging residents to always lock your vehicle and to call 911 when you witness suspicious activity.
