UNC senior Brice Johnson has been unanimously selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference first team.

The league announced the selections by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association on Sunday.

Johnson and Virginia senior forward Malcolm Brogdon were both unanimous choices to the first team. Brogdon was also named ACC Player of the Year.

Johnson and Brogdon were joined on the first team by NC State guard Cat Baber, Duke sophomore Grayson Allen and Clemson junior Jaron Blossomgame.

UNC forward Isaiah Hicks won the ACC’s Sixth Man of the Year Award. The junior from Oxford is averaging 9.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Johnson is the 74th first-team selection for Carolina, more than any other school, according to the university. The senior forward led the ACC in rebounding, field goal percentage and double-doubles during the regular season. Johnson averaged 16.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

Johnson and Hicks were key figures in one of the best frontcourts in the country that helped the Tar Heels to the 2016 ACC regular season championship.

Senior guard Marcus Paige and sophomore forward Justin Jackson were named honorable mention All-Conference.
