Brice Johnson has been named a John R. Wooden Award All-American and is one of five players to be invited to Los Angeles for the Wooden Award presentation, which is given annually to the nation’s most outstanding basketball player.

The Los Angeles Athletic Club announced the selections on Monday night.

Johnson was one of 10 players named a Wooden Award All-American. The UNC senior forward is joined by Duke’s Grayson Allen, Virginia’s Malcolm Brogdon, Providence’s Kris Dunn, Kansas’ Perry Ellis, Indiana’s Yogi Ferrell, Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield, Iowa State’s Georges Niang, Kentucky’s Tyler Ulis and Michigan State’s Denzel Valentine.

The All-American list is dominated by seniors with seven of the 10 members staying at school for four years.
