Ramone Jamarr Alston, 22, and Pierre Je Bron Moore, 23, were arrested on Monday and appeared before District Court Judge Joe Buckner on Tuesday facing charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. A $1 million bond had originally been set for both Alston and Moore, but that was revoked on Tuesday.

Shaquille Oneill Davis, 22, was arrested on Sunday and has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Davis remains in the Orange County Jail under a $650,000 bond.

District Attorney Jim Woodall says that police are still evaluating all of the information that is coming in from the night of the shooting.

“We’ve got a much better understanding of where things stand now,” he says. “The first defendant, Shaquille Davis, his charges could be changed – they could be upgraded – but we’re not in a position to do that at this time.”

Woodall says that he won’t rule anything out, but that he now thinks police may have all of the suspects in custody.

“I’ll be perfectly honest with you, at this time I don’t anticipate [more arrests],” he says. “But I can’t rule that out completely.”

Chapel Hill Police are continuing to lead the investigation into the shooting. Woodall says residents around the neighborhood have assisted the investigation.

“The police have gotten cooperation,” Woodall says. “There have been some people who’ve been reluctant to get involved. I hope that, over the next few days, those people change their minds and will come forward with more information.”

Davis is scheduled to appear back in court on January 4. The next date for Alston and Moore has been set for January 21.
