Eight Looks That Will Never Go Out Of Style

By Kristin Tucker Posted January 14, 2014 at 6:00 am

You may wonder from season to season if your fashion accumulation is out of style. It’s easy to follow what’s “in style,” but how do you keep up with what’s going “out of style?” (There are websites that actually make trend reports of “What’s Not Hot” their business.) Yet, as we brace ourselves for brisk winter weather (like the arctic air that headed here this week in Orange County!), you may be thinking it’s time to revamp your wardrobe for the season.

The truth is your wardrobe may not need much of a makeover. If you do a little digging through those fall 2012 and 2013 fashion trends, like platform booties and military jackets, you may uncover some classic pieces you didn’t realize you had.

Here’s a list of eight looks that fashion experts agree will likely never get the fashion pink slip:

1) Double Breasted, Belted Trench

2) Black Leather Jacket – Check out my black leather jacket find at Bevello Boutique on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill.

3) Neutral Colored Cape

4) Pencil Skirt

5) Slouchy Cable Knit Sweater
