Apparently rocking polka dots at work is the trend to beat this season.  The Fashion Plate loves this polished pattern look!  Anyone who knows my style knows I’m the queen polka-dot-rocking-diva day and night.  Polka dots are timeless but not boring. Since dotted duds come in so many styles, I’ve rounded up some options to keep you looking spot-on.

History shows both Hollywood and the White House wearing dots du jour.  (Think Marilyn Monroe and Jackie O.)  You can opt for classic navy and white like Michelle Obama.  Channel Elizabeth Banks by going for a bold red style.

Tie the look together with a bright shoe like Demi Moore.

Or take a cue from The Fashion Plate by sporting spotted separates.

A dotted ruffle dress needs minimal accessories.  Just throw on a blazer or solid-colored cardigan and you’re out the door.

Polka dot blouses instantly spiff up those same old suit pants. This structured top (below left) is conservative enough for a corporate environment, while an airy blouse ((below right) fits right in to a more laid-back office.

Bonus: You can pair either with jeans for an equally charming weekend look.

Polka dot pants will work for fashionable trendsetters.  A subtle color palette and tailored fit keep them from looking over the top.  Consider adding a simple white button-down with neutral pumps to top it off.

To have coworkers seeing spots, try these patterned pumps peeking out from under a pair of wide-leg slacks.

Think polka dots are too daring for you?  Think again.  You can go as bold as a polka dot dress or as minimal as an accessory like a polka dot watch, bracelet or shoes.  Try it!  Your friends and co-workers will like the look.  And so will you!
