One thing I love about people in the Chapelboro business community is their willingness to help each other, individual community members and the community as a whole.  Right now in particular, with temperatures dropping below freezing,  I’m thankful to all who are helping with the effort to Blanket Orange County.

Over the past eight years, Blanket Orange County has collected and delivered 1,878 blankets to:

This year, the goal is to collect an additional 300 new and gently used blankets for the IFC.

Offering their time, space and energy by serving as official drop off locations for blankets this year are:

In addition, for the fourth year in a row, Rosemary Waldorf is assisting with with PR, Community Outreach, plus pick up and delivery of blankets.

For the second year, Susan Reda is helping with marketing and PR, plus blanket pick up and delivery.

Also assisting with blanket pick up and delivery this year are:

And · Stephanie Wright from  Homewatch Caregivers of the Triangle let us know that for the second year in a row, they are purchasing brand new blankets to donate on behalf of their clients, employees and friends.

A wonderful demonstration of generosity by these people and their businesses – all working together to help Blanket Orange County.
 
 
As of today, 120 blankets have been collected.

If you would like to help, drop off a new or gently used blanket at one of the drop off locations listed above by Sunday December 9.

Twin/single bed sizes preferred.
