Local robotics teams, the Eastbots and Carrborobotics, qualified to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship this week in Houston, Texas.
Over the weekend, Chapel Hill High School’s gymnasium looked a lot different than usual. Large metal structures, orange circular disks and large scoreboard screens turned the main court into a robotics playing field – no basketballs allowed, safety goggles required.
Two incumbents and a newcomer are projected to win seats to the Orange County Schools Board of Education Tuesday night: Carrie Doyle, Jennifer Moore and Wendy Padilla.
