After decades of work, the 203 South Greensboro Project finally broke ground Thursday afternoon. The $41 million project between the Town of Carrboro and the Orange County government plans to house the southern branch of the Orange County library and other municipal programming.

A new innovation hub is set to open connecting UNC and downtown Chapel Hill. The UNC Board of Governors recently approved a lease for the university to operate a 20,000 square foot space at 136 East Rosemary Street. This hub will be the new home of Innovate Carolina and also is part of the larger East Rosemary Street redevelopment project.

The Chapel Hill Town Council recently met to discuss the future of the site at 828 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. This site is the current location of the Chapel Hill Police Station, but it is also the location of a coal ash fill. Since the town learned of coal ash existence on the project in 2013, the town council has been discussing the future of the 828 MLK site.
