UNC announced Monday that it will host James Madison in women’s lacrosse this upcoming Sunday to replace a game against Virginia Tech that was postponed this past week.

The top-ranked Tar Heels were originally supposed to open the season against James Madison, until COVID-19 issues forced James Madison to postpone the game and UNC added Stony Brook as a replacement.

UNC is 7-0 this season and has won its games by an average of just over 11 goals per game. The Tar Heels have won each of their last 14 games dating back to last season.

James Madison has gone 3-1 to start its 2021 campaign.

The Tar Heels will take on Louisville on the road this Thursday before hosting James Madison this weekend.
