This year’s Tiger CHill Carnival will feature several new activities including a mini “Touch a Truck” exhibit and a huge inflatable “Gauntlet Race Course” that will challenge competitors to race across foam platforms while dodging giant swinging boulders. Sledding on real snow will be back this year by popular demand. Carnival-goers will also have the opportunity to show off for their friends by ringing the bell on the high striker hammer game or by giving a high school football player or favorite teacher a splash in the dunk tank. Other carnival games, sponsored by Chapel Hill High School student clubs, will also be available including a pie throwing contest, baseball speed pitch and dodge ball games. School bands and dance teams will provide entertainment during the carnival. Karate and jump rope demonstrations will also take the stage. Food, including barbecue sandwiches, pizza, hot dogs, sandwiches from Jersey Mike’s, corn-on-the cob and homemade baked goods, will be available for purchase. Admission is free. Tickets for games, food and activities will be sold at the carnival’s entrance. The money raised by the carnival will fund activities for school’s clubs, teams, bands, and organizations.
