The Second Annual St. Paul Village Community 5K Walk/Run will be held at McDougle Middle School in Carrboro, NC on March 1, 2014. The event features electronic timing by Cardinal Track Services, an awards ceremony with prizes for winners, and a family friendly atmosphere with kid-approved games and food available for purchase. Every paid entrant will receive a free T-shirt. The price for regular early bird stays the same until February 1st – which is $20 or $40 (family depending on the number of kids). To register online go to http://www.sportoften.com/events/eventDetails.cfm?pEventtld=11566. Proceeds will primarily benefit St. Paul Village, a multi-use and multi-generational development that will provide amenities and resources to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro community as well as fulfill the church’s need for expanded worship and fellowship spaces. To fulfill the congregation’s commitment to assisting in the community, a percentage of the proceeds will be distributed to TABLE ( a non-profit that provides emergency food to hungry children in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro communities) and Club Nova (a non-profit built to address the needs of Orange County citizens living with mental illness).
