Peaceful Schools: Changing the Way We Think About Bullying and the Way we Deal With It

March 8 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

| $35.00

Learn to give your children better advice on bullying than your parents may have given you!  Our approach to bullying, already succeeding at Durham’s Central Park Elementary School and Carolina Friends School, converts bystanders into active participants who take responsibility for a safe and affirming environment.  Peaceful Schools is based on mentalization; a skill honed throughout psychological development which can be enhanced through education and therapy.  Through mentalization, we see that others are, like us, only human.  It is an antidote for prejudice, paranoia and the otherwise endless cycle of bullying, pain and shame.
