The League of Women Voters of Orange, Durham, and Chatham Counties will sponsor a voter education program on the 2013 North Carolina voting law. The program will be held Wednesday, January 29, from 11:45am to 1:15pm, at the Hibachi Grill in the Oak Creek Village on Highway 15-501 (Durham-Chapel Hill Boulevard). The program is open to the public.
Anita Earls, Executive Director of the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, will discuss the impact of the new law on voters and provide on update on the legal challenge to the law.
Attendees may purchase a buffet lunch for $10, payable to the LWV-ODC at the door. Reservations are not required.
